How to do a complete defrag in Windows XP®
This way of doing a defrag does not require any 3rd party programs it just
uses the ones included in Windows XP®. By doing it this way you will see a substantial
improvement in overall disk performance. You should do this about once a month.
Had to break this up into 6 pages so dial up users can view this tip.
- The first thing you do is go to system restore and temporarily disable it
by left clicking or selecting start button all programs/accessories/system
tools/system restore

- Then left click or select system restore settings

- This will bring up the system properties dialog box then check Turn off
System Restore on all drives
left click on apply on the
bottom right of box.
- The System restore dialog box will appear then click yes.

- Now left click or select start button select or left click on control
panel when that opens up
