What DPI and PPI Mean
DPI refers to droplets per inch it has to do with printing. It means how many droplets of ink are put on the paper. For "Photo Quality Prints" you should set your printer output to at least 160dpi.
PPI refers to monitors it means pixels per inch that's how many pixels on your monitor for a 17 inch monitor my recommended setting is 1024 x 768. You can make this setting by right clicking on desktop then left clicking on properties go to the settings tab to change your setting. On bigger monitors you need a higher setting on smaller monitors you need a smaller setting to compensate for the monitors size.
