How to get rid of spy-ware and keep it off.

First thing a little on what spy-ware is. Spy-ware is programs that you have inadvertently installed on your computer. Spy-ware is what I call piggy back programs they come with free* software that you have installed such as games, precision time manager, automatic form filler out software and others. What it does is send back information on your web-surfing  back to advertisers.

"How does this hurt my computer" you might ask yourself? A computer can only do so many things at once ( software programs it can run at one time). Lets call those things resources. Now each piece of software uses some of those resources. If you ad software such as spy-ware it consumes the resources drastically compromising  the ability of the computer or slowing it down degrading its performance. Plus it gives your surfing habits out to advertisers, who will then bombard you with SPAM and pop-up ads. So speed your machine up get rid of spy-ware today.

Personally as a tech I have found up to 500 pieces of spy-ware on a machine crippling the machine then I am called in to get the machine running again. Every time I go to customers house I usually find 3 to 4 hundred pieces of spy-ware.

1. The first step is to download and install Lavasoft's ADAWARE.
2. The second step is click on the second icon on the top right it looks like a little globe with a magnified glass on top of it to update the program so it has the latest spy-ware programs in it database.
3. The third step is to run ADAWARE this might take some time, note you might have to run it on the reboot in order to get rid of the spy-ware.
4. The fourth step is to download and install SpywareBlaster this program prevents spy-ware from being Installed on your machine.
5. The fifth step is to download the latest updates for this program and configure it by clicking on the left side where it says updates follow instructions. Then click on status click on Enable Internet Explorer protection. Also I click on restricted site protection and if you use Mozilla click on that also.

These are free pieces of software just click on the software names to down load them. Make sure you save them to a folder on your computer so you can find them.
